Early Morning Preparations
The day begins before sunrise as I check my service schedule on my tablet. After a quick cup of coffee, I head to our equipment inventory station to stock my service vehicle with necessary parts and tools for the day’s appointments.
First Service Call
By 7:30 AM, I’m heading to my first call in Tonawanda. Winter in Western New York means plenty of heating system maintenance requests. Today’s first stop involves a routine furnace inspection for a long-time customer.
Mid-Morning Emergency
The dispatch radio crackles with an urgent call – a family in Lockport has lost heat during one of the coldest days of the year. I adjust my schedule to accommodate this emergency, knowing how crucial it is to restore heating quickly.
Afternoon Routine
After lunch, I’m scheduled for:
– Propane tank safety inspection
– HVAC system maintenance
– New thermostat installation
– Heating efficiency assessment
Professional Development
Between service calls, I review updates on new energy-efficient systems and regulations. Staying current with industry standards helps us provide the best service to our customers throughout the Buffalo area.
End of Day
As the sun sets, I complete my final service call in Akron. Before heading back to base, I update all customer service records and prepare my vehicle for tomorrow’s appointments.
Working in HVAC services means every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community stay comfortable and safe, regardless of Western New York’s unpredictable weather.
