The day begins before sunrise as I check my service schedule for the day. After a quick breakfast and coffee, I head to Oakmont Mechanical’s headquarters to stock my service van with essential parts and supplies.
First Call – 8:00 AM
My first appointment involves a routine maintenance check on a commercial building’s heating system. These preventive maintenance visits are crucial for:

• Maintaining indoor air quality
Mid-Morning – 10:30 AM
Between scheduled appointments, I receive an emergency call about a malfunctioning air conditioning unit at a local business. This is where our training really comes into play, as quick diagnosis and resolution are essential for customer satisfaction.
Lunch Break – 12:00 PM
A brief pause to refuel and review the afternoon schedule. I use this time to order any additional parts needed for upcoming jobs and coordinate with dispatch about the day’s remaining calls.
Afternoon – 1:00 PM
The afternoon typically consists of:
• Residential service calls
• System installations
• Equipment upgrades
• Technical consultations
End of Day – 5:00 PM
Before heading home, I complete all necessary service documentation, restock my van for tomorrow, and touch base with the office about any follow-up appointments needed.
