Early Morning Preparations

My day at Pat’s Heating & Air Conditioning starts before sunrise. By 6:30 AM, I’m already reviewing the day’s service calls while enjoying my morning coffee. Winter in Wisconsin means our schedule is packed with heating system maintenance and emergency calls.

First Call of the Day

7:00 AM – I’m heading to my first appointment in Oconomowoc. A family woke up to a cold house, and their furnace isn’t responding. These emergency calls are crucial during our frigid Wisconsin winters. After a thorough diagnosis, I discover a faulty ignitor – a common but urgent issue that needs immediate attention.

Mid-Morning Service

By 9:30 AM, I’m in Pewaukee for a scheduled maintenance check. Preventative maintenance is key to avoiding those middle-of-the-night emergency calls. I clean the system, check connections, and ensure everything’s running efficiently.

Afternoon Installation

The bulk of my afternoon is spent in Waukesha, installing a new high-efficiency furnace. It’s satisfying work, knowing we’re helping homeowners stay warm while reducing their energy costs.

Daily Tasks Include:

  • System diagnostics and repairs
  • Preventative maintenance checks
  • New system installations
  • Air quality assessments
  • Customer education on system operation

End of Day

Before heading home, I ensure my service van is restocked and ready for tomorrow. Working throughout the Lake Country area, from Delafield to Summit, means being prepared for any situation.

In this line of work, every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our neighbors stay comfortable in their homes. It’s more than just fixing heating systems – it’s about providing peace of mind during Wisconsin’s challenging winters.
